Larissa's work at The Arnold Arboretum Horticultural Library since 2008 includes reference and technical services, cataloging monographs and serials, digitization projects, archival processing, and website design. She previously worked as Curatorial Assisstant at Woodberry Poetry Room (1997-2006), and Reference Librarian at Dedham Public Library (2006-2008). Her interests include information literacy, digital preservation, natural history, world history, and literature. Other research interests include Roman and Byzantine History, Latin American History and Studies, Geography/Geopolitics, Speculative Fiction (an umbrella term encompassing the more fantastical fiction genres), World Mythology, Journalism Studies, and Popular Media. Larissa is a member of Special Libraries Association (SLA), the Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries (CBHL). She is Chair of the Publications Committee for CBHL, and produces the quarterly CBHL Newsletter with Adobe Creative Suite. She is a Member of The Digital Commonwealth and an Associate Member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA).
